Kansas City has a long tradition of lighting up the Country Club Plaza with Christmas lights ever Thanksgiving evening. This tradition has been going on for 79 years and started with a string of 16 lights over a doorway. The lights now cover over 80 miles of shops on the Country Club Plaza. This has been a tradition for Garrett, his Nana Newcomb and myself for 6 years now. It is very cold so we bundle up, but much to our surprise this Thanksgiving the weather was very warm about 50 degrees.

That looks like a lot of fun! Although I think I would probably break my neck. I haven't worn a pair of those for almost twenty years!
oh woops! I thought I was commenting on the rollerskating party! The lights look fun as well :)
